Anne Clapp
Anne Clapp started gardening as a child by growing plants from grapefruit seeds and avocado pits and gardening has remained a hobby through the years.
She has been an active member of the Garden Club of North Carolina, The Men's Garden Club and Friends of the JC Raulston Arboretum.
After ending her teaching career in the College of Textiles at NCSU, she volunteered for the Master Gardener Training Program in Wake County. From her experience with phone duty hours she was asked to fill in for Erv Evans on the WPTF Weekend Gardener, a job that has become permanent in recent years.
Anne is an accredited flower show judge with the National Garden Club, and an accredited Camellia Judge for the American Camellia Society.
She is co-currator of The Findley-Nottingham Rose Gargen at the JC Raulston Arboretum and on the Arboretum Board of Advisors. She is an active volunteer in the local gardening community but makes the time to take care of a one acre lot in Raleigh where she specializes in collecting plants and rearranging gardens when the mood strikes.
